Prom PSA (continued)
Our next project was to make a public service announcement for Somerset Berkley Prom 2014. Mackenzie Johnson and I decided to do a quick stop motion animation intro. We used the whiteboard technique
Dodgeball Tournament Tickets
Our next project in Advanced graphics was to make a ticket design for the dodge ball tournament. Since we were only given a day to complete it I decided to go with a simple design of two human silhouettes playing dodge ball. I looked up images on the computer of people playing dodge ball and traced them using the pen and pencil tool on adobe illustrator. I made the fill color black. Next, I made the background red with a circle filled with a darker shade of red to represent a dodgeball. I added the text that was required and put it into a Microsoft publisher document to resize for printing. I am pretty happy with the outcome considering the time constraint.
Holy Name School Raffle Ticket Flyer
My next assignment was to make a raffle ticket poster for Mrs.Nassif and the Holy Name School. As always, I was only given a days notice to make and print the posters so I decided to do something very simple. I took a picture I found on the internet of a blank raffle ticket. I added the word "RAFFLE" to the center and then made a few copies of the ticket. I used the color replacement tool to make each ticket a different color and then copied, arranged, and overlapped the tickets to create a background for my poster. Next, using the same text that I used on the ticket I made the title "50/50 RAFFLE TICKETS" and added the rest of the information in a normal font. I then added a turquoise colored box around the drawing time to draw attention to it so that people will be there on time. Overall, i'm happy with the outcome but I wish I had more time to make it a bit more interesting and to fix any little imperfections. Mrs.Nassif also seemed thrilled with the outcome and it was received on time so I was happy.
