International Cook Book Cover
Our ninth project in graphics was to each make a cover for our class's International Cook Book. I decided to make it Charlie Sheen themed since our class loves Charlie Sheen jokes. I first found a picture of a family eating dinner together. I used to eraser tool to erase all of the backgroud behind the family. I then found a picture of Earth and used the clone tool to put it in the middle and have it look as though the family was eating it because the recipe book would allow people to eat foods from all over the world. Next, I took a picture I found of Charlie Sheen and used the lasso tool to take his head and put it on the father of the familes body. It took a long time to blend them together. Then, I took a picture I found of flags from all over the world and used the clone tool to put it in behind the family and Charlie. I had to brighten the image so it wasn't to dark and you would still be able to read the title. Lastly, I went online and found a text generator and made the words "International Recipes" and put it on top of the flags as a title.
International Cook Book Page
Our tenth project in graphics was to each make a page of an international recipe cover. The country that I got was Laos. First, I looked up Laotian recipes on the internet. The two recipes I chose were Laotian egg rolls and Laotian fried noodles (also known as mee lad na.) I chose these two recipes because they didn't include any strange ingredients, I wanted one that people could actually make using the ingredients at their local super market. Next, I took a photograph of Laotian egg rolls and edited it using the Paint program to make it look like a cartoon. Then I found a picture of Charlie Sheen since he is a wonderful person and has been in the tabloids a lot lately. I edited him using photoshop and put an apron and chefs hat on him. I also added the words "Kiss the cook" and the laotian flag to the front of his apron. Next, I put a picture of a kitchen behind him to make it look as though he cooks. The hardest part of making this picture was making Charlie Sheen appear happy. In the original picture he looks really mad, but I moved his mouth, eyes, and eyebrows around so that he seemed a little more pleasent.
International Cook Book Page Backside
On the back side of my page for the International Cookbook I found a picture of Laotian fried noodles and edited it using the Paint program to make it look like a cartoon. Next I took a picture of Laos on a map and erased all of the cities, capitals, and waterways. I then copied it a bunch of times and arranged it on the page making it look like a pattern. I then used the recoloring tool to make the top parts red, the middle parts blue, and the bottom parts red also. This made it look like the Laotian flag. I then put it through a filter to make it look splotchy and added the recipe directions on top.
Can Label
Our eleventh project in graphics was to make a can label. I decided to make a canburger, or a hamburger in a can. I first found a picture of a hamburger and put it into Paint to make it look like a cartoon and just to change the picture a bit. I then took picture of the ingredients in a hamburger and edited them each induvidually on Paint like I did to the picture of the hamburger. I then put the pictures into Photoshop and ran them all through the same filter and copied it nine times so that it would make a nice repeating background for my label. I then used a nutrition facts label generator online and put all of the percentages of a quarter pound hamburger from Wendy's. I then went on publisher and made a white oval with a black outline and put my hamburger picture inside it to be the front of my can. I used a text generator to get the certain text that I wanted and put the words "Canburger" and "The original hamburger in a can" above and below the picture of a hamburger. Then, I listed the ingredients and allergen information underneath the nutrition facts. Next, I found a picture of a barcode online and placed it on the left side of the center picture along with a recycling symbol. Last, I added the words "Try with..." using the text generator and put a picture of French's mustard and Heinz ketchup to fill of any extra space I had left.

2 slide gif
Our twelth project in graphics was to make animated GIFs. To make the animated GIFS I used the paint program to draw a picture and save it as a GIF file. Then I took the same picture and moved or edited it and saved that as another GIF file. Then I used the Microsoft GIF animator and inserted both of the pictures and set it to 50/100 frames per second and had it repeat forever. I took the same approach to the next two GIFs also.
GIF using Photoshop
Our final project in graphics was to make an animated picture using photoshop. We took a blank page and put a gradient on it. We then made a text box and put our names in it. We then used the animation tool bar and the tweening tool to make the text bounce all around the background.
